Minimally invasive Treatments

Gentle interventions for an attractive appearance

When talking of minimally invasive treatments in the field of aesthetic medicine, this comprises all interventions which hurt the skin and the tissue below only minimally. Accordingly, all these treatments are especially gentle for the patient. The KÖ-KLINIK in Düsseldorf has specialized itself in minimally invasive therapies and offers a variety of efficient methods – beginning from anti-wrinkle injections and the fractional laser therapy up to the therapy against excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

Medical Peeling

The term peeling sums up all aesthetic-medical methods in which the hornea and the superficial skin layers are removed. The consequence: The surface renews itself so that the entire skin texture gets better. Peelings are especially suited for treating fine wrinkles, small scars, enlarged pores, pigment spots, acne and acne scars. If necessary the experts from KÖ-KLINIK use different forms of this method: peelings with fruit acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or the fractional laser.

The fruit acid peeling with alpha hydroxyl acid respectively glycol acid is mainly suitable against acne, blackheads and impure skin. The TCA peeling goes deeper and is an efficient method against wrinkles, liver spots and scars. When applying the laser peeling, the laser beam is filtered so that this treatment only has to be applied once – compared to other peeling methods. Furthermore we can adjust exactly the desired depth of the peeling.

Anti-wrinkle Injections

KÖ-KLINIK offers several options of this anti-wrinkle injection – each has got its own strengths and special application areas. The injection with botulinum toxin for example, which is better known under its trade name Botox®, is an ideal method to treat mimic wrinkles such as frown lines, forehead wrinkles or eyelid wrinkles. Botox® relaxes the muscles in the treated area. Like this the wrinkles are smoothened or, when they are not too deep, even disappear completely.

A natural ingredient of the skin is employed at the injection with Hyaluron acid. The substance binds water in the tissue and lets the skin seem fuller. Thus the wrinkles are being padded out by way of the Hyaluron acid. This way of treating wrinkles is especially gentle for the patient. The effect lasts up to eight months before the substance is finally decomposed by the body.

The vampire lifting belongs to the autoblood therapies in which the PRP, the platelet rich plasma, is injected. The substances in the plasma help the vessels to regenerate and to create new connective tissue. Furthermore the PRP stimulates the creation of the skin-tightening proteins collagen and elastin as well as the body-own Hyaluron acid. Additionally, new stem cells develop which also contribute to the production of collagen. Side effects and allergenic reaction due to the vampire lifting can nearly be excluded.

Mesotherapy

The Mesotherapy is a special form of the injections. In this case the patient is being injected an individually composed cocktail of substances of vitamins, Hyaluron acid, classic medicine and homeopathic preparations, which is always adapted to the individual needs of the patient. By injecting these substances there will soon be a depot that gradually releases them to the affected area. The Mesotherapy is successfully applied in different field at KÖ-KLINIK:

  • Anti-Ageing: The mixture of substances stimulates the blood circulation; the supply of the tissue with oxygen increases. Like this the skin seems to be considerably younger and fresher.
  • Treating wrinkles: In this field the different variants of the Mesotherapy are also designated as Mesolift, Mesoglow or Mesobotox. According to the method, we can effectively treat either small or very deep wrinkles.
  • Hair loss: The better blood circulation helps the hair roots to be provided sufficiently with nutrients again. The hair loss is stopped while the hair growth is stimulated.
  • Prevention: The Mesotherapy is perfectly suited to counteract hair loss and the signs of ageing at a very early stage

In order to achieve an optimal result it is necessary to repeat the treatment three to five times at a distance of 14 days each. The final gift after the period of waiting is an especially natural-looking result.

Laser Therapy

The laser therapy is the latest method of the aesthetic dermatology and offers a variety of different treatment opportunities. At KÖ-KLINIK we use two different devices. On the one hand we use the fractional CO2 laser which is especially suitable for treating:

  • stretch marks
  • skin appendages
  • hair loss
  • scars
  • as well as for skin rejuvenation, to get a finer skin texture and to reduce pores

The principle of the fractional laser therapy is the wounding: The upper skin layers are penetrated in order to cause small skin wounds under them. This stimulates the creation of the skin-tightening protein collagen. Furthermore new upper skin layers develop and the former skin problems disappear. When fighting hair loss, the wounding stimulates the tissue around the hair roots and thus provides a better blood circulation and a better supply of the roots with nutrients. As a consequence the hair growth starts again.

Beside the fractional laser our experts at KÖ-KLINIK also use the IPL device (Intensed Pulsed Light) for their treatments. This therapy form is especially suited for fighting:

  • spider veins
  • rosacea
  • couperose
  • Pigment spots
  • small veins

The IPS therapy works with light of different wavelength that penetrates up to the deeper areas of the dermis. There it provides a better warmth development and thus stimulates the production of the skin-tightening proteins collagen and elastin. But the light therapy makes the skin not only tighter, it also stimulates its self-healing and renewing processes. The treatment with IPS usually requires three to six sessions (according to the indication) at a distance of three to four weeks. After three to six months a refreshing treatment may be recommended.

Vampire Lifting

The autoblood therapy with platelet rich plasma, the PRP, is a new and gentle method against the signs of ageing of the skin. For the vampire lifting the experts from KÖ-KLINIK remove small amounts of blood from the patient and prepare it according to a special procedure. The finally won PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) contains various growth hormones and stimulates the creation of new stem cells. The effect: The vessels regenerate, new connective tissue develops and the production of collagen is stimulated. The skin thus seems to be remarkably fresher and softer. This form of the autoblood therapy is not only best for fighting wrinkles but also against hair loss. As the PRP is a product that also occurs in the human body, there are hardly any side effects and allergenic reactions.

Hyperhidrosis Therapy

Excessive sweating is a big problem for the people affected which mostly has an impact on the psyche. One method against pathological sweating, also called hyperhidrosis, is the sweat gland suction. However, the suction can only be carried out with hyperhidrosis under the armpits. Furthermore many patients shy away from the ambulant-operative intervention. In this case KÖ-KLINIK offers an efficient alternative: the injection with Botox®. The substance which is also known as a means against wrinkles helps to stop sending nerve impulses to the glands so that the sweat glands noticeably reduce the sweat production. The effect can usually be seen after about one week. Botox® injections against hyperhidrosis can be applied under the armpits but also at the hands, the feet and in the face.

Fat-reduction Syringe

A newly developed method against smaller fat depots is the fat-reduction syringe. The injection lipolysis is thus an especially gentle alternative to the liposuction. When using the fat-reduction syringe we inject phosphatidylcholine, a substance of the soybean, into stubborn fat depots. Like this the fat cells are destroyed and decomposed by the body in a natural way. Subsequently the fat depots are reduced or even dissolve completely. The injection lipolysis is very suitable for fighting:

  • cellulite
  • double chin
  • adiposis in the male breast
  • fat depots at the legs, the tummy and the hips

Usually four to six sessions are necessary in order to achieve an optimal result. For bigger fat depots we recommend a liposuction.

Hair Loss Therapy

Beside the hair transplantation and medical therapies there are especially two treatment methods for fighting bald spots: the treatment with a fractional laser and the Mesotherapy. When applying the fractional laser treatment we do minimal harm to the tissue around the hair roots. The roots are thus better supplied with blood and nutrients while the hair follicles are stimulated. The hair loss is stopped and the hair growth is stimulated. Regarding the Mesotherapy our experts at KÖ-KLINIK compose an individual mixture of substances for every patient. It consists of Hyaluron acid, vitamins as well as classic medical and homeopathic preparations. This mixture is brought into the affected areas where the substances are released gradually. Like this the hair follicles revitalize and the blood circulation of the scalp gets better.
