Thin hips, a flat stomach and firm bottom – this is what many patients are dreaming of. Of course it is not entirely possible without your help. The fewest are lucky enough to have perfect genes, but healthy eating habits and sports can get you closer to the figure you feel at ease with.

Women and men both suffer the same from problem areas which however can only seldomly be reduced successfully even by intense sporting activities or diets. Especially weight reductions often have effects on body parts which cannot be influenced, e.g. in the breast or face area. Individual areas are perceived as too distinct and disturb the overall harmony. Especially the waist, hips, stomach, legs and bottom are often criticised. But also a double chin can seem disturbing and many men do not like to see the build-up of fat in their breast area.

Liposuction is part of the daily procedures in the KÖ-KLINIK and is carried out by our medical specialists, who have specialised in liposuction, with special care and in a great number all year long. Please feel free to take a look at the results of liposuction by means of ‘before and after’ photographs in the KÖ-KLINIK.

We are happy about your interest in liposuction and, with our general information, would like to provide you with a first impression.

By means of liposuction, our medical specialists for plastic and aesthetic surgery are able to permanently form the figure and change the body silhouette to the patients advantage. A sophisticated technique of liposuction enables the reduction of fat depots from any body part of nearly any person at low risk and almost always permanently. Even uneven body parts can be evened, inverted scars can be levelled, and the appearance of your skin can be improved e.g. in case of cellulite. However we would like to emphasise the fact that general overweight cannot be corrected by liposuction.

The KÖ-KLINIK is proud of its experience in the area of liposuction and recommends the application of a special method, suitable for the respective patient. In this respect, we would also like to mention the special training for male patients whose tissue is decisively firmer and who are therefore in need of a special procedure of liposuction.

In order to prevent a strong uneveness of the skin and to achieve a smooth surface in the future, the application of super-fine tubes is especially important. In this way, lymphatic vessels and blood vessels can be treated with care and the formation of dents can be prevented.

In order to optimise the aesthetic result, scars do not only turn out small and very fine, they are also placed in natural body folds or in areas where they do not attract attention.

If sufficient elasticity is provided, the mantle of skin will shrink after the procedure and adapt to the new shape. This effect can be significantly improved by wearing an especially fitted pressure bandage or supportive clothes for at least six weeks. In case of very flabby skin, additional procedures may be necessary to minimise the mantle of skin (e.g. abdominoplasty or femoral lifting).

After the operation, two to three days of rest before the start of work will be sufficient. Hard physical work and intense sporting activities should be avoided for approx. four weeks. The procedure will be completed under anaesthetic or in twilight sleep with an additional local anaesthetic (very small fat depots only with local anaesthetics) and can normally be carried out as an out-patient procedure. An overnight stay at the KÖ-KLINIK is necessary for more extensive procedures.

The removal of stitches is unnecessary due to especially dissolvable stitch material. Bruises and swellings will disappear within two to three weeks. A preliminary result will be reached after approx. three months, the final result will be visible after about six months.

Individual advice, operation and supervision after the procedure will be personally carried out by our medical specialists. We would be happy to have supported you with our initial information and will help you with the arrangement of an appointment.
